Listening to the music of the new Samsung Galaxy Buds 2 Pro shows that Samsung sticks to the tried and tested formula. As great as Samsung’s Galaxy Buds 2 Pro are today, they’re now over a year old, which means it’s time to give the wireless earbuds a refresh.
If the Galaxy Buds 2 isn’t enough for you today, you’ll be more than happy to know that new Samsung Galaxy Buds 2 Pro earbuds are on the way. We know surprisingly little about them right now, though, other than the occasional rumor confirming their existence. With a first look at what could be the design of the upcoming Samsung Galaxy Buds 2 Pro, thanks to new CAD renders, these wireless earbuds are changing now.
These new images (360-degree imagery, nonetheless) were shared by leaker Evan Blass on 91mobiles. We don’t usually get CAD renders from him, but this is still the first time we’re seeing Samsung’s next earbuds in the flesh.

New Samsung Galaxy Buds 2 Pro Secfications
Listening to the music of the new Samsung Galaxy Buds 2 Pro shows that Samsung sticks to the tried and tested formula.
However, the renders don’t look different from the Galaxy Buds 2. There have been some very minor design changes, but nothing out of the ordinary like the Samsung Galaxy Buds Live (also known as Dear Beans). The actual size of the earbuds changes, which looks like an effort for a more natural in-ear feel, but other than that, they have a nearly identical footprint. If you liked the design of the Buds 2, you’ll probably like them too.
These earbuds will come in three colors:
- White
- graphite
- Bora Purple
In fact one of the biggest takeaways here may be the branding, as a matter of fact — instead of launching as the Galaxy Buds Pro 2, as many probably expected, we’ll get the “Buds 2 Pro” instead. Getting the name. There were some doubts regarding this final branding, and if this leak turns out to be anything, those doubts can finally be put to rest.

New Samsung Galaxy Buds 2 Pro Other than the design and perhaps the branding, we can’t find any information on the actual specs or improvements compared to the Samsung Galaxy Buds Pro or Buds 2, other than the possibility of a slight increase in battery life.
